Continued from the story "Echidna War" (By Jonathan W. Brown)

	The Echidnas climbed from the rubble of Echidnapolis. Their beautiful 
city, their centuries of technology all gone. They made makeshift tents and 
shelters to stay in. Constable Remington had survived the ordeal, so he resumed 
his position as highest ranking Echidna. Search parties were sent out to find 
others that weren't found yet. Remington and the Defence Staff which hadn't 
perished were dicussing plans. " We can't let the surface dwellers get away with 
this!" Constable Remington yelled. " How can we beat them, Knuckles our Guardian 
is gone for now, we have few weapons, and few people. Just then the tent door 
opened up. " Remember Knuckles isn't the only guardian here." Locke said as he 
entered, as did his father, Sabre." We have solved all of your problems, the 
stash Dimitri buried centuries ago has been recovered. There are enough weapons 
to help us. We two are more powerful than Knuckles, well for now we are. And the 
Dingoes have agreed to help. Also have a few young cadets who can help. So 
basically we have a fighting chance." The Echidnas planned their first battle. 
But a new problem a rose.
	"You see Constable If we attack they'll simply bomb our campsites and 
weapon stashes, leaving us quite pitiful. We'll need to send in a couple of 
people to destroy their bomb sites."  Julie-Su inquired.
	" We'll need to use a guardian and a cadet to pose as a tourist family." 
Remington said with a grin on his face. Just then another stranger entered the 
tent. It was Knuckles ! The Constable got up and shook Knuckles' hand," You're 
back Knuckles ! Any luck with the tribe of Arakkis ?"
	"Yes I did, and I destroyed a few of Robotnik's old minions along the way. 
I heard from the others  whats going on. I also overheard the Guardian and Cadet 
part. Since I'm the only Guardian I'll go. But where's the cadet ?" Knuckles 
asked.
	"He'll be here anytime soon." The Constable said. " I just hope he's ready 
for the mission." They waited a few minutes dicusssing the detials of Knuckles' 
journey. But soon enogh the tents flap opened up and out popped the cadet. " 
Knuckles, I want you to meet your new partner, Aiden." Knuckles was appauled, 
there before him was a tall, skinny, weak little Echidna.
	"Ha ! Ha ! Ha !" Knuckles laughed," You're kidding me, you aren't gonna 
send this little runt with me, are you ?" The cadet got quite angry at the 
remark." I'm sorry kid, but I expected a more  buffed cadet."
      "Well I'm sorry, the buffed up cadets were all blown to smithereens. I'm 
the best of whats left," the cadet scowled. " So let's get prepared and we'll be 
on the surface in no time." The two followed Julie-Su to the barracks where they 
prepared for the journey
